Section 44: Penalty for contravention of Section 33.

The Meghalaya Agricultural Produce Market Act,1980 (Act No.1 of 1981)State Act of Meghalaya · Act 1 of 1981

(1) Whoever makes or recovers any trade allowance in contravention of the rules or bye-laws made under this Act, shall on conviction, be punishable with fine which may extend to rupees two hundred.

(2) All fines and damages recovered from an offender shall be paid to the fund of the market committee concerned.
