Section 17: Powers and duties of the Secretary

The Meghalaya Board of Primary School Education Act, 1988, Act No.13 of 1988.State Act of Meghalaya · Act 13 of 1988

(1) Government may by notification make rules for carrying out the purposes of this Act.

(2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power such rules may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely-

(a) The term and conditions of appointment of the members, the Secretary and other officers and staff of the Board;

(b) The preparation and submission of budget and annual statements of accounts;

(c) Submission of reports to Government;

(d) Any other matter which required to be prescribed for by rules.
