Section 5: Term of office of nominated members.

The Meghalaya Board of Primary School Education Act, 1988, Act No.13 of 1988.State Act of Meghalaya · Act 13 of 1988

(1) The members nominated by Government under clause (ii) of sub-section (1) or co-opted under sub-section (2) of Section 4 shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of the nomination or, as the case may be, co-option and shall be eligible for re-nomination or reco-option.

(2) Notwithstanding the expiration of their term of membership as referred to in sub-section (1) such members may continue to hold office until fresh appointments are made in their places.
