Section 3: Action to be taken by the Bank prior to the making of application referred to in Rule 4

If an agriculturist fails to repay to the bank, the whole or part of the financial assistance obtained by him on or before the due date, the bank, shall serve on him or his heirs or legal representatives with at least fifteen day’s clear notice, informing him that if he fails to pay the amount due within the period specified in the notice, informing him that if he fails to pay the amount due within the period specified in the notice, the crops or other produce or movables (hereinafter referred to as the said property) charged to the bank shall be distrained and sold through the specified officer.
