Section 4: Issue of residential certificate by the Local Authorities

(1) The residential certificate under Section 9(1)(a) of the Act shall be issued in Form I appended to these Rules by the Local Authority of the place where the tenant was earlier residing in the State.

(2) The Local Authority may charge a fee not exceeding Rupees fifty for the issue of residential certificate:

Provided that the rate of fees under this sub-rule may be revised by the Government from time to time by notification.
