, 1976, the Government of Meghalaya is hereby make the following rules namely: - THE MEGHALAYA TREES (PRESERVATION) RULES, 1976.

(1) These rules may be called the Meghalaya Tree (Preservation) Rules, 1976.

(2) They shall extend to the areas where the Act is in force.

(3) They shall come into force, with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
