Section 106: Decision of questions of forfeiture and deduction in suits for wages.

The Merchant Shipping Act, 2025Central Act · Act 24 of 2025

Any question concerning the forfeiture of or deductions from the wages of a seafarer may be determined in any proceeding lawfully instituted with respect to those wages, notwithstanding that the offence in respect of which the question arises, though by this Act made punishable by imprisonment as well as forfeiture has not been made the subject of any criminal proceeding.
