Section 122: Submersion of load lines.

(1) No vessel, other than a vessel exempted from the provisions of this Part relating to load lines, shall be so loaded as to submerge when the vessel has no list of the appropriate load line on each side of the vessel, that is to say, the load line indicating or purporting to indicate the maximum depth to which the vessel is for the time being entitled under the load line rules, to be loaded.

(2) Without prejudice to any other proceedings under this Act, any vessel which is loaded in contravention of this section may be detained until such vessel ceases to be so loaded.
