Section 246: Extinguishment of right to claim recovery of costs.

Any claim for recovery of costs for locating and marking of the ship under this Chapter shall be made within a period of three years from the date of determination of the hazard and six years from the date the maritime casualty resulted in the wreck:

Provided that where the maritime casualty consists of a series of occurrences, the six years period shall be reckoned from the date of the first occurrence.
