Notwithstanding anything contained in section 23 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (46 of 2023), it shall be lawful for a Judicial Magistrate of the first class to pass any sentence authorised by or under this Act on any person convicted of an offence under this Act or any rules made thereunder.
