Section 42: Evidence of register book, certificate of registration and other documents.

The Merchant Shipping Act, 2025Central Act · Act 24 of 2025

(1) A person may on application to the Registrar and on payment of such fees as may be prescribed, inspect any register book, and may obtain a certified copy of any entry in the register book.

(2) A certified copy of an entry in a register book shall be admissible in evidence in any court and have the same effect to all intents as the original entry in the register book of which it is a copy.
