(a) On the issue of a notification under section 10 the owner of animal, which has died or is believed to have died of any contagious disease, shall bury such animal at least six feet below the surface of the ground or deal with it in such manner as may be prescribed.
(ii) A Veterinary officer, when he has reason to believe that any animal had died of any contagious disease, issue a notice to the owner to bury such animal in the manner provided under sub- section (1).
(iii) No person shall disinter or otherwise remove the carcase of any animal burned in compliance with the provision of sub-section (1) or (2) Penalty
22. Whoever contravene of the provision of’ this Act, or of any rule or order made thereunder, shall on conviction be punishable with fine not exceeding fifty rupees, or in default with simple imprisionment for a term not exceeding one month or in the case of second or subsequent conviction to fine of five hundred rupees or with imprisonment up to six months or with both fine and imprisonment.
Bar of legal proceeding
23. No suit for prosecution or other legal proceedings shall lie against any person for anything in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act.
