Section 388: Use of Municipal markets

The Nagaland Municipal Act,2001State Act of Nagaland · Act 10 of 2001

1. No person shall, without the general or special permission in writing of the Chief Officer of a Municipality, sell or expose for sale any animal or article in any municipal market within the municipal area of the Municipality.

2. Any person contravening the provisions of sub-section (1) and any animal or articles exposed for sale by such person, may be summarily removed from the market by or under the orders of the Chief Officer by a Police Officer or any officer or employee of the Municipality authorized by the Chief Officer in this behalf.
