Section 425: Disposal of infectious corpses

The Nagaland Municipal Act,2001State Act of Nagaland · Act 10 of 2001

Where any person has died from any dangerous disease in any municipal area, the Chief Officer of the Municipality may, by notice in writing.- a. require any person having charge of the corpse to convey the same to mortuary and thereafter to be disposed of in accordance with law; or b. prohibit the removal of corpses from the place where death occurred except for the purpose of burnt or buried or being conveyed to a mortuary.
