Section 434: Duties of Municipality in relation to sanitation and public safety

The Nagaland Municipal Act,2001State Act of Nagaland · Act 10 of 2001

Save as otherwise provided in this Act, the Municipality shall take adequate measi'es for each of the following matters, namely.- a. inspection, supervision, regulation and control of premises to ensure proper environmental sanitation;

b. regulation of public bathing and washing;

c. provision of and maintenance of public conveniences;

d. licensing of animals and control of stray animals;

e. licensing of butchers and slaughter-houses; and f control of nuisances.
