Section 436: Power to require cleansing and lime washing of filthy building or land

The Chief Officer of the Municipality may, by notice, require the owner or occupier of any building or land or any part thereof within the municipal area, which is in a filthy or unwholesome state, to cleanse the same or otherwise put it in a proper state within twenty fours and thereafter to keep it in a clean and proper state and if it necessary for sanitary purpose to do so, may at any time, by direct the occupier of any building to lime-wash or otherwise cleanse the said building inside and outside in the manner and within a period to be specified in the notice.
