The North East Christian University Act, 2012State Act of Nagaland · Act 4 of 2013

(1) There shall be a fdl time vice chancellor for the university who shall unction as the Principal Executive and Academic Officer of the University.

(2) There shall be a Selection Committee to recommend the selection ofthe Vice Chancellor which shall comprise a nominee of the Government Council, anominee of the Chancellor and two nominees of the sponsoring Bodies.

(3) The recommendation of the Selection Committee shall M e r be considered and recommended by the Government Council to the Chancellor for his final approval.

(4) The Vice Chancellor shall not hold ofice beyond 65 years of age.

(5) In case of emergent circumstance where the appointment of a Vice Chancellor on the basis of a panel prepared by a selection committee is not possible for any reason, the Chancellor until an appointment is made in accordance with that procedure may appoint a suitable person to function as Vice Chancellor for a period of exceeding one year.

(6) Our terms and conditions of service of the Vice Chancellor shall be as per regulations.
