In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, ' (aJ "competent authority" means the Chairman Gr a Member or any other officer authorised' as such by the Authority in this behalf .
' · (b) "family" includes the spouse residing with the officer or employee and
(i) Parents;

(ii) Grand Parents;
(iii) dependent sons and daughters (including adqpted and step sons and daughters).'

(iv), brothers and sisters; of the officer or employee,'if they are residing with and are fully dependent on the officer or -cmployee, ' (c )' "headquarters", in relation to an officer or employee, means the city or town in which the officer or employee has been posted for the time being.
(d) "officer or employee" means any personwho is in whole time employment of the Authority.

(e) "pay" means the pay, special pay, dearness pay and any other emolumentsclassified as pay.

(t) "temporarytransfer"; means transfer· of 'an officer or employee from theheadquartersto any other place ·of duty for a period not ex?eeding.ninetydays. · ' ·

(h) "tour" means the journey undertakenby an officer or employee at placesother than his-, headquarters on official duty and includes the journeyperformed to undergotraining or study sponsored by the Authority.
