(i) An officer or employee of the rank specified in column (2)of the. Table below, whee on tom· or temporary transfer shall be entitled to a dailyallowance for the period of his absencefrom headquarters exceeding twelve hours at therates specifiedin the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. Where theabsence exceeds six hours but less than 12 hours,dailyallowance sh?llbe reduced to 50%.

Explanation For the purpose. of thi? (iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-regulation (i), the Chairman may, if he is satisfied that the journey by air is in the interest of the Authoritv, permit an officer or employee to travel by a higher class thari he is .eruitled to under sub 'r·egulation(ii).
(iv) During any halt by an officer or employee on tour or te?1porarvtransfer. he shall be entitled to reimbursement of actual expenditure incurred on local conveyancesubject to a maximum of Rs. 500/- per day
