The National Law University of Uttarakhand Act, 2011State Act of Uttarakhand · Act 11 of 2011

(1) This Act may be called the National Law University of Uttarakhand Act,

2011.

(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the official Gazette appoint.

Definitions

2. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(i) “Academic Council” means the Academic Council of the University;

(ii) “Bar Council” means the State Bar Council of Uttarakhand;

(iii) “Chancellor” means the Chancellor of the University;

(iv) “Executive Council” means the Executive Council of the University;

(v) “Governing Council” means the Governing Council of the University;

(vi) “Prescribed” means prescribed by Regulations;

(vii) “Registrar” means the Registrar of the University;

(viii) “Regulations” means the Regulations of the University;

(ix) “State Government” means the Government of Uttarakhand;

(x) “University” means the National Law University of Uttarakhand;

(xi) “Vice Chancellor” means the Vice Chancellor of the University.
