The North-East Frontier Agency Panchayat Raj Regulation, 1967.Regulations · 1967

(1) The Anchal Samiti may, either before or after the institution of criminal proceedings under this Regulation, compound any offence against this Regulation or any rule or bye-law made thereunder on payment of such sum in cash to the Anchal Samiti Fund as may be agreed upon.

(2) Where an offence has been compounded, the offender, if in custody, shall be discharged and no further proceedings shall be taken against him in respect of the offence so compounded.

76. Whoever contravenes any of the provisions of this Regulation or any rule made thereunder shall, if no other penalty is provided elsewhere in this Regulation for such contravention, be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees and, in the case of a continuing contravention, with an additional fine which may extend to ten rupees for every day after the first during which he ha3 persisted in the contravention.
