Section 3: Construction of certain references in existing laws

Any reference in any existing law—

(a) to the Balipara Frontier Tract shall be construed as a reference to the Subansftri Frontier Division and the Kameng Frontier Division; and

(b) to any of the areas specified in column 1 of the table annexed to section 2 shall be construed as a reference to the area specified in the entry corresponding thereto in column 2 of the said table.

Explanation.—In this section, "existing law" means any law, Ordinance, order, bye-law, rule or regulation passed or made before the commencement of this Regulation by any Legislature, authority or person having pmver to make such law, Ordinance, order, byelaw, rule or regulation.
