Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement.

The North-Eastern Hill University Act, 1973Central Act · Act 24 of 1973

(1) This Act may be called the North-Eastern Hill University Act, 1973.

(2) It extends to the [State of Meghalaya] and the [State of Arunachal Pradesh].

(3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
