I M gRfWcW Rid/ 'Hrff feR <W Wp | Mw w/i grr - wraf fowr « 11 wg W ^7 WcRf M cTW vid =b d'fH W, q- WT JHR, WT (g^ g.1) HOME-I (POLICE)/ESTABLISHMENT DEPARTMENT NOTIFICATION Delhi, the 21st March, 2017 No. F. 16/l/2016/HP-I/Estt./6796-6798.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and (2) of section 147 of the Delhi Police Act, 1978 (34 of 1978), the Lt. Governor of the National Capital Territory of Delhi is pleased to make the following rales, regulating the method of recruitment to the Group “C” ‘‘Multi Tasking Staff’ (Civilian) posts in Delhi Police, namely:— tow DELHI GAZETTE-. EXTRAORDINARY " ~ PART IV]

1. Short title and commencement,—

(1) These rules may be called the Delhi Police, Group “C” “Multi Tasking Staff” (Civilian) Recruitment Rules, 2017.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette.

2. Number of Posts, classification pay band and grade pay or pay scale,—The number of posts, their classification and scale of pay attached thereto shall be specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules.

3. Method of recruitment, age limit and other qualification, etc.,—The method of recruitment to the said post, age limit, qualification and other matter relating thereto shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule.

4. Disqualifications.“No person ;

(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living , or

(b) who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:

Provided that the Government may, if satisfied, that such marriage is permissible under the personnel law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing exempt any person from the operation of this rule.

5. Power to relax.—Where the Government is of the opinion that it is necessary expedient so to do, it may, by order, and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of this rule with respect of any class or category of persons.

6. Saving.—Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age limit and other concession required to be provided for-the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Ex-servicemen or any other special category of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Government from time to time in this regard.

(1) Between 18 to 27 years of age.

Relaxable by

(a) Three years for Other Backward Classes.

(b) Five years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe.

(c) For Ex-Servicemen, as per rules prescribed by the Government of India.

(2) 35, 38 and 40 years of age for widow/divorcee and judicially separated women of General, Other Backward ■ Classes, Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe categories respectively, who are not re­ married.

IVJ DELHI GAZETTEEXTRAORDINARY -5- 1 (3) 35, 38 and 40 years of age for physically handicapped (40% and above) for General, Other Backward Classes and Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories respectively.

Note The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates, except for the closing date prescribed for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Island or Lakshadweep.

Note In the case of recruitment made ' through the Employment Exchange, the crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the last date upto which the Employment Exchange is asked to submit the names.

Education and other qualifications required for direct recruits Whether age and educations qualifications prescribed for direct recruits will apply in the case of promo tee Period of probation, if any

Medical standards

(a) Better eye 6/6 without glasses, worse eye 6/36 corrected with glasses to 6/9 or 6/12 ;

(b) The candidate should be of sound health, free from disease, defect or deformity.

In case of persons with 40% and above disabilities, candidates who are selected against vacancies reserved for Person With Disabilities will be medically examined by the police surgeon/ civil surgeon or medical officer appointed by the Commissioner of Police, Delhi to fix the medical standard of these candidates.
