NOTIFICATION In accordance With the approval of Council of Ministers, dated 27.02.2020, The Governor of Tripura is pleased tQ constitute a society named as ``Tripura Farms & Orchards Research and Demonstration Society'' with transfer of the operation and management of selected 6 (six) Government Farms and 9 (nine) Orchards as listed in Annexure-I with the following obj.ectives.
I. To manage & develop the farms & orchards of state importance which may be transferred or assigned to the society. The farms & orchards will act as Centre of Excellence for research & demonstration, introduction of new crops / varieties in the interest of the farming commulnity of Tripura.
11. To trahsform the farms & orchards into self-susta!r\ing units.
Ill. To enable society to operate and do maintenah+ce of farms & orchards.
•IV. To perform au sale & purchase related activities df the farms & orchards.
V. To promote involvement of local communities for creation of livelihood opportunities for them.
