MINISTI** OF. HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 21st Ju ly 1959 G.S.R. 842.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Union Territories (Laws) Act, 1950 (30 of 1950), the Central Government hereby extends with, effect from the 1st August 1959 to the Union terr i tory of Delhi, t he enactments specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto annexed with the modifications specified in the corresponding entry in the second column of the said Schedule—

SCHEDULE Name of Act Modifications

1. The Court Fees (Punjab Amendment) Act, In section 2, after the words "the Court Fee

1953. (Punjab Act XXXI of 1953). Act, 1870 (Act VII of 1870)," add the words "in its application to the Union terri­ tory of Delhi".

2. The Court Fees (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1. In sections 2 and 3., for the words "State 1957- (Punjab Act No. 19 of 1957). of Punjab"., the words "Union territory of Delhi" shall be substituted.

2. Section 5 shall be omitted.

3. The Court Fees (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1. In section 2, for the words 'State of Punjab's ICKS. (Punjab Act 14 of 1958). the words 'Union territory of Delhi' shall be substituted.

2. In Schedule I, in item 13, for the words "Financial Commissioner of Punjab", the words "Chief Commissioner of Delhi" shall be substituted.

3. In Schedule II—

(a) in item I4A, in column 3 under the head 'Proper fee' for the words "Nine­ teen rupees fifty Naye Paise", the words, "Fifteen rupees" shall be substituted j

(b) in item 22, for the words' "the Puniab Customary Law", the words "any custo­ mary law in force in the Union territory of Delhi" shall be susbstituted ; an J

(c) in item 23, for the words "Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act or Pepsu Urban Rent Restriction OTclin,;nc<,:'' the words "Delhi Rent Control Ad. 1958 (59 of 1958)" shall be substituted. 1. Short title.—The Act may be; called the Court Fees (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1953. 2 2 Amendment of section 7 of Act VII of 1870.—To clause (iv) of section 7 of the Court Fees Act, 1870 (Act VII of 1870), in its application to the Union terr i tory of Delhi the following proviso shall be added, namely: — "Provided further that in suits coming unded sub-clause/ (c), in cases - where the relief sought is with reference to any property such valuation shall not be less than the value of the property calculated in the manner provided for by clause (v) of this section." ? . « ' - . . ' f P U N J A B ACT No. 19 OF 1957 THE COURT FEES (PUNJAB AMENDMENT) ACT, 1957 A N N i ACT W -» to amend the Court Fees Act, 1870 (Act VII of 1870), in its application to the State of Punjab Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Eighth Year of the Republic of India as follows: —

1. Short title.—This Act may, be called the Court Fees (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1957. / i . 2. Application of Act VII of 1870.—The Court Fees Act, 1870, .shall be amended in its application to the Union terr i tory of Delhi in the manner hereinafter provided. "

3. Amendment of section 7 of Act VII of 1870.—In the proviso to clause (iv) of section 7 of the Court Fees .Acty 1870 (Act VII of 1870), as subsequently amended in its application to the Union terr i tory of Delhi (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Act") , for the word "ten" the word "thir teen" shall be substituted.

4. Amendment of section 18 of Act VII of 1870.—In section 18 of the principal Act, fer the "words "one rupee" the words "one rupee and four annas" shall 'be* substituted. i '

5. Omitted. ANNEXURE III THE COURT FEES (PUNJAB AMENDMENT) ACT, 1958, AS MODIFIED BY THIS NOTIFICATION P-UNJAR ACT No. 14 OF 1958 THE COURT FEES (PUNJAB AMENDMENT), ACT, 1958 A N ACT to amend the Court Fees Act, 1870, in its application to the State of Punjab Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in the Ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows^—

1. Short title.—This Act may be called the Court Fees (Punjab Amendment) Act, 1958.

2. Application of Act VII of 1870.—The Court Fees Act, 1870, as amended from time to t ime in its application to the Union terri tory of Delhi, shall be further amended in the manner hereinafter provided. ~~

3. Amendment of section 18 of Act VII of 1870.—In section 18 of the Court Fees Act, 1870 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act) , for ,the words "one rupee and four annas" the words "one rupee and twenty-five Naye Paise" shall be substituted. \

4. A m e n d m e n t of Schedules I and II of A c t VII of 1870.—In S c h e d u l e s 1 a n d I I of t h e p r i n c i p a l Act , t h e c o l u m n " P r o p e r f e e " sha l l b e d e e m e d to b e a m e n d e d c o r r e s p o n d i n g to t h e e n t r i e s h e r e u n d e r specified. 12. Certificate under Part In any case X of the Indian Succession Act, 1925 (XXXIX of 1925). Two and one-half per centum on the amount or value of any debt or secu­ rity specified in the cer­ tificate under section 374 of the Act, and four per cen­ tum on the amount or value of any debt or se­ curity to which the cer­ tificate is extended under section 376 of the Act.

Note.—(1) The amount of a debt is its amount, in­ cluding interest, on the day on which the in­ clusion of the debt in the certificate is applied for, so far as such amount can be ascertained.

(2) Whether or not any power with respect to a security specified in a certificate has been conferred under the Act, and, where such a Number Proper fee
