1. Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 1976 (Haryana Act No. 28 of 1976) The Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 1979 (Haryana Act No. 20 of 1979).
Tn section 2 of the Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 1976, in the opening paragraph, for the words and figures "the Haryana Housing;Board Act, 1971", the words and figures "the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971, as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh" shall be substituted,
1. In section 2 of the Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Act 1979 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act ofl979):—
(i) in the opening paragraph, for the words snd figures "the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971", the words and figures "the Haryana ' Housing Board Act, 1971 as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh" shall be sub stituted ; and
(ii) in section 7A which was directed to be inserted in the principal Act, for the words "State Government", both in the heading and in the text, the word "Administrator" shall be substituted.
- In section 3 of the said Act of 1979, in section 72 which was directed to be substituted in the principal Act,
(i) in the heading, for the words "State Government", the word "Administrator" shall be substituted;
(ii) in sub-section (1),—
(a) for the words "State Government" the word 'Adminis trator" shall be substituted;
(b) for the words "it may", wherever they occur, the words "he may" shall be substituted; and
(c) for the words "its being", the words "his being" shall be substituted;
(iii) in sub-section (2), -

3. The Haryana Housing Board (Amendmcn.)
Act, 1980 (Haryana Act 27 of 1980).
The Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Act. 1986 (Haryana Act 10 of 1986).
1. Tn section 2 of the Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 1980 (Hereinafter referred to as the said Act of 1980), in the opening paragraph, for the words and. figures "the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971", the words and figures "the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971, as in force in the Union tenitory of Chandigarh" shall be substituted.
. Throughout the said Act of 1980, for the words "Chief Administrator" wherever they occur, the words "Chief Executive Officer" and for the words "State Government" the word "Administrator" shall be substituted.
3, In section 3 of the said Act of 1980, in sub-section (4) whic was directed to be substituted in the principal Act—
(i) for the words "and such other members not more than twelve and not less than six as the State Government may from time to time, by notification, appoint, the words "and seven other members appointed by the Administra tor" shall be substituted; and
(ii) the proviso shall be omitted.
4. Section 10 of the said Act of 1980 shall be omitted.
In section 2 of the Haryana Housing Board (Amendment) Act, 1986—
(i) in the opening paragraph, for the words and figures "the Haryana Housing Board Act. 1971' the words and figures "the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971 as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh" shall be substituted;
(ii) in section 72B which was direoted to be inserted in the Principal Act,—
(a) for the word "Government" wherever it occurs, the word "Administrator shall be substhuted;
(b) for the words "Chief Administrator", the words "Chief Executive Officer" shall be substituted;
(c) for the word "itself", the word "himself" shall be substituted; and

BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Twnety-seventh Year of the Ropublic of India as follows:- Short title. 1. This Act may be called the Haryana Housing Board (Amend ment) Act, 1976.
Insertion of seotion 72-A in 2. After section 72 of the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971 as Haryana Act 20 of 1971. in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh, the following section shall be inserted, namely:- "72-A. Appeal.—(1) Save as otherwise expressly provided in any other provision of this Act, an appeal shall lie from an original or appellate order of any officer of the Board

BE it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Thirtieth Year of the Republic of India as follows:- Short title.
Substitution of s:otio n 72 of Haryana Act 20 of 1971.
1. This Act may be called the Haryana Housing Board (Amend ment) Act, 1979.
2. After section 7 of the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971 as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), the following section shall be inserted and shall always be deemed to be have been inserted, namely :- "7A. Chairman and members to hold office during pleasure of Administrator-—Notwithstanding anything contained in section 3 or sectio n 7 or any other provision of this Act, the Chairman and. members of fchs Board shall hold office during the pleasure of the Administrator."
3. For section 72 of the principal Act, the following section shall be substituted and shall always be deemed to have been substi tuted, namely:- "72. Control of Administrator over Board.—
(1) The Administrator shall exercise superintendence and control over the Board and its officers and may tall for such information as he may deem necessary and, in the event of his being satisfied that the Board is not functioning properly or is abusing itr powers oris guilty THE GAZETTE OF INDIA .EXTRAORDINARY [FART II—SEC. 3(i)] of corruption or mismanagement, he may, by notifi cation, suspend the Board:-

(a) all members of the Bc^rd and its committees, includ ing the Chairman of the Board, shall, from the date of the notification, vacate their offices;
(b) all powers, duties and functions, whioh under the provisions of this Act or any regulation made there under, are to be exercised by the Board or any com mittee thereof or by the Chairman of the Board, or by any other officer of the Board, shall, during the period of suspension, be exercised and performed by such person (to be called the spcual officer) as may be appointed by the Administrator in this behalf:
Provided that the special officer may, subject to the approval of the Administrator, delegate any of his powers, duties, or func tions to such other person as he may think fit;
(c) all properties, including the Board Fund vested in the Board shall, until it is reconstituted,, vest in the Central Government".

2. After section 72A of the Haryana Housing Board Act, 1971 as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh, the following section shall be inserted, namely ;- "72B. 1. This Act may be called the Haryana Housing Board f Amend ment Act, 1989.
2. For the proviso to sub-section (2) of section 11 ofthe Haiyana Housing Board Act, 1971 as in force in the Union territory of Chandigarh (hereinafter called the principal Act), the fol lowing proviso shall be substituted, namely;- "Provided that the previous sanction of the Administrator shall be obtained for this purpose, in respect of such cate gories of posts as may be specified by him from time to time, by notification.".
3. For the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 39 of the principal Act, the following proviso shall be substituted namely:- "Provided that the previous approval of the Administrator shall be obtained in case of purchase or exchange involving land worth more than fifty lakhs rupees or lease for more than five years."
4. In section 52 of the principal Act,—
(a) in the marginal heading for the word "rent", the words "rent loan" shall be substituted,-
(b) in sub-section (1),—
(i) after the words "any Board premises" the words "or arrears of instalments payable in raspect of any loan advanced by the Board for construction recons truction or repair of a house" shall be inserted;
(ii) after the words "fails to pay the arrears of rent" the words "or the arrears of instalment of loan" shall be inserted.
