2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) (CENTRAL ECONOMIC INTELLIGENCE BUREAU) (COFEPOSA UNIT) ORDER New Delhi, the 29th June, 2015 S.O. 1758(E).—Whereas the Joint Secretary to the Government of India, specially empowered under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974 (52 of 1974) issued order F.No.673/03/2015-Cus.VIII, dated 31.03.2015 under the said sub-section directing that Shri Shaikh Mohamad Javid, S/o Shri Shaike Anwar Basha, R/o House No.146-C, Abdulla Mansion, Fatima Colony, Alto Dabolim-40380, be detained and kept in custody in the Sub-Jail, Sada, Goa with a view to preventing him from indulging in smuggling, engaging in transporting, concealing or keeping smuggled goods and dealing in smuggled goods in future.
2. Whereas the Central Government has reasons to believe that the aforesaid person has absconded or has been concealing himself so that the order cannot be executed.
3. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs the aforesaid person to appear before the Director General of Police, Government of Goa, Panaji, within 7 days of the publication of this order in the Official Gazette.

2. जब�क केB � सरकार के पास िवH वास करने के कारण हI �क पूवK/ त F यिL भगोड़ा है या अपने को िछपाए Oए ह ैता�क आदेश तामील न �कया जा सके ।

2. Whereas the Central Government has reasons to believe that the aforesaid person has absconded or has been concealing himself so that the order cannot be executed.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (b) of sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs the aforesaid person to appear before the Director General of Police, Government of Goa, Panaji, within 7 days of the publication of this order in the Official Gazette.
