"dCRI ~ 3WI'rcnr-6lC!;@l ~ ~ w ~ ~ 3ll'.lm ~ ~ fcrf!i[Cfi ~ ~ 6v,T ~ ~ CfiT "t!i'm 31<\1 ~ q,1 ~ ~ m1 [~. ml-l2037/26412007~.'WT-5] "ll'iifcli1:' "3'1-~ ['lll'TII-~ 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF SHIPPING, ROAD TRANSPORT AND lllGHWAYS (Department of Road Transport and Highways) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 20th February, 2008 3 S.O. 383(E).- In exercise of powers conferred hy Sections 7 and SA of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby notifies that there shall be levied and paid fees on mechanical vehicles, for the use of Katni Bypass on N.H. 7 in the State of Madhya Pradesh (hereinafter referred as Katni Bypass) at the rates specified in Schedule hereunder, and having regard to the Concession Agreement dated 19th August 2002 entered into with M/s. ASHOKA-DSC KA TN! BYPASS ROAD PRIVATE LIMITED having its registered office at V. River View, Ashoka Stambh Nashik-422002, Maharashtra, to build operate and transfer the Katni Bypass and for service provided by it, hereby authorise the said M!s. ASHOKA-DSC KA TN! BYPASS ROAD PRIVATE LIMITED or its authorised legal representative, successor or assignee to collect and retain fees at the rates specified in the said Schedule from 20th February, 2008 to the last day ofthe concession period i.e. 16th September, 2014. 215.00 300.00 I. In the event of grant of extension in Concession period, the last day of Concession period will be modified.
2. No toll fee is leviable on motorcycles, scooters or any other two wheelers.
3. The fees set forth above shall be charged to the users of the Katni Bypass tor one-way trip. I
4. When a vehicle has to use the Katni Bypass more than once in a day, the user shall at his option be entitled to do so on payment of one and halftimes the fee for one way trip in the first trip itself. A vehicle owner shall be entitled to a monthly pass on payment of fee equal to thirty times the fee for one-way trip.
5. Following vehicles are exempted from the fees specified above, namely:
(i) Vehicles- (A) having "VIP" symbols; or officially belonging to
(a) President oflndia;
(b) Vice-President oflndia:

(d) a Foreign Dignitary on State visit to India;
(c) a foreign diplomat stationed in India using cars with ''CD" I "CC" number plates;
(f) Chairman of~ya Sabha or Speaker ofLok Sabha or Chairman of a State Legislative Council or Speaker of a State Legislative· Assembly or a Minister for the Union or State, or Leaders of Opposition in Lok Sabha or R~jya Sabhaor State Legislatures having the status of Cabinet Minister, if he is sitting in the vehicle; or
(g) a Member of Parliament, in the entire country, or a Member of Legislative Assembly of a State or a Member of Legislative Council of a State, in the respective State, if he produces his identity card issued by the Parliament or concemed Legislature of a State, as the case may be. (B) belonging to winner of Gallantry awards such as Param Vir Chakra, A shok Chakra, Maha Vir Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Vir Chakra and Shaurya Chakra, if such awardee produces his photo identity card duly authenticated by the Competent Authority for such award.
(ii) Defence vehicles, Police vehicles, Fire-fighting vehicles. Ambulances, Funeral vans, Posts and Telegraphs Department vehicles and Central Government and State Government vehicles on duty.
6. The above-mentioned rates shall be conspicuously displayed at the Toll Plazas and also at a distance or about 200 meter ahead ofToll Plazas on either side ofKatni Bypass.
7. The said Mls. ASHOKA-DSC KA TNI BYPASS ROAD PRIVATE LIMITED or its authorised legal representative shall give a receipt to the payer for the fees collected !rom the payer.
