THE GOA STATE GUARANTEE (REPEAL) ORDINANCE, 1997 (ORDINANCE NO.1 OF 1997) Promulgated by the Governor of Goa, in the Forty-eighth Year of the Republic of India.

An Ordinance to repeal the Goa State Guarantee Act, 1993.

Whereas the Legislature of the State of Goa is not in session and the Governor of Goa is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action.

Now, therefore, in exercise of power conferred by clause (I) of Article 213 of the Constitution, the Governor of Goa is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance, namely:-

1. Short title and commencement. - (1) This Ordinance be called the Goa State Guarantee Repeal Ordinance, 1997.

(2) it shall come into force at once.

2. Repeal of Act 16 of 1993.- The Goa State Guarantee Act, 1993 (Act 16 of 1993), is hereby repealed.

-3- GOVERNMENT OF GOA Department of Finance Revenue & Expenditure Division Notification 1-28-97/Fin(Bud) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Goa State Guarantees Act, 1993 (Goa Act 16 of 1993) (hereinafter called the “said Act”), the Government of Goa hereby appoints the 30th day of April 1998, as the date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force.

The Goa State Guarantees (Amendment) Act, 1998 (Goa Act 15 of 1998) [2-4-1998] AN ACT to amend the Goa State Guarantees Act, 1993(Act 16 of 1993).

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of Goa in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Goa State Guarantees (Amendment) Act, 1998.

(2) It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.

2. Amendment of section 3. - In section 3 of the Goa State Guarantees Act, 1993 (Act 16 of 1993),-

(i) in sub-section (1) for the expression "Rs. 40.00 crores", the expression "Rs. 200.00 crores" shall be substituted;

(ii) in sub-section (2),-

(a) for clause (a) the following shall be substituted, narne1y:- “(a) a Statement of any guarantee given not later than six months from the close of each financial year; and";

(b) in clause (b). for the expression "within three months after the end of any financial year", the expression "within six months after the close of any financial year" shall be substituted.

The Goa State Guarantees (Amendment) Act, 2001 (Goa Act 14 of 2001) [25-1-2001] AN ACT further to amend the Goa State Guarantees Act, 1993 (Goa Act 16 of 1993).

Be it enacted by the Legislative Assembly of · Goa in the Fifty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Goa State Guarantees (Amendment) Act, 2001.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from the 3rd day of October,

2000.

2. Amendment of section 3.- In section 3 of the Goa State Guarantees Act, 1993 (Goa Act 16 of 1993) (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Act"), in Sub-section (1), for the expression "Rs. 200.00 crores", the expression "Rs. 350.00 crores" shall be substituted.

1. Short title and commencement.- (1) This Act may be called the Goa State Guarantees (Second Amendment) Act, 2001.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 3.- In section 3 of the Goa State Guarantees Act, 1993 (Goa Act 16 i of 1993), in sub-section (1), for the expression "Rs. 350.00 crores", the expression "Rs. 550.00 crores" shall be substituted.

(2) It shall come into force at once.

2. Amendment of section 3.- In section 3 of the Goa State Guarantees Act, 1993 (Goa Act, 16 of 1993), in sub-section (1), for the expression "Rs. 550.00 Crores", the expression "Rs. 700.00 Crores" shall be substituted.

2. Amendment of section 3.— In section 3 of the Goa State Guarantees Act, 1993 (Goa Act 16 of 1993), in sub-section (1), for the expression “Rs. 800.00 Crores”, the expression “Rs. 1500.00 Crores” shall be substituted.
