Panaji, 16th May, 2000 (Published in the Official Gazette Series-I No. 8 dated 25-5-2000) -3- GOVERNMENT OF GOA Department of Finance Revenue & Control Division Notification No.10/3/95-Fin (R&C) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Goa Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999 (Goa Act 10 of 1999) (hereinafter called the "said Act"), and in supersession of the Government Notification No. 10/3/95-Fin(R&C) dated 16-5-2000, published in the Official Gazette, Series I No. 8, 25th May, 2000, the Government of Goa hereby appoints Additional Collector, North and Additional Collector, South as the "competent authority", to exercise control over the properties attached by the Government under section 3 of the said Act, in their respective districts, with immediate effect. (Published in the Official Gazette Series-II No. 15(Supplement) dated 10-7-2003) __________ -4- Department of Finance Revenue and Expenditure Division Notification 10/3/95-FIN (R&C) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 6 of the Goa Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999 (Goa Act 10 of 1999) (hereinafter referred to as the "said Act"), the Government of Goa with concurrence of the High Court of Bombay, conveyed vide their letter No. A. 1218/G/2000 dated 29-11-2000, hereby constitutes the District Judge (North) and the District Judge (South) as Special Courts for the purposes of the said Act with immediate effect, in their respective jurisdiction. (Published in the Official Gazette Series-I No. 5 dated 3-5-2001) -5- GOVERNMENT OF GOA Department of Law & Judiciary Law Establishment Division Notification No. 4/10/98/LD(3) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (8) of section 24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) read with section 12 of the Goa Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999 (Goa Act 10 of 1999), the Government of Goa hereby appoints Shri G. V. Dhume, Public Prosecutor, North Goa and Shri S. B. Faria, Public Prosecutor, South Goa, as Special Public Prosecutors; for the purpose of conducting the cases in the Special Courts constituted vide Government Notification No. 10/3/95·FIN(R&C) dated 25-4-2001, in their respective jurisdiction, with immediate effect. Shobha Dhumaskar, Public Prosecutor, posted at Mapusa and presently attending the N.D.P.S. Court at Mapusa as Special Public Prosecutor, for the purpose of conducting the cases before the Special Court of District Judge (North) constituted vide Government Notification No. 10/3/95-Fin (R&C) dated 25-4-2001.
