Section 22: Trial of offences

The Odisha Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1956State Act of Odisha · Act 3 of 1957

1[(1) No offence under this Act or any rule or bye-laws made thereunder, shall be tried by a Court other than, that of a Judicial Magistrate of the list class or that of a Judicial Magistrate of the second class specially empowered in this behalf.]

(2) Prosecution under this Act or any rule or bye-laws made thereunder, may be instituted by any person duly authorised in writing' by the Market Committee, in this behalf.
