Section 1: Short title, extent and commencement

The Odisha Animal Contagious Diseases Act, 1949State Act of Odisha · Act 8 of 1949

(1) This Act may be called the Orissa Animal Contagious Diseases Act, 1949.

(2) It extends to the whole of the [State] of Orissa.

(3) This section shall come into force at once and the State Government may, by notification bring the rest of this Act, or any part of it into force in the [State] or in any area in the [State] on such date and for such period as may be specified in the notification.
