Section 10A: Declaration of infected areas

The Odisha Animal Contagious Diseases Act, 1949State Act of Odisha · Act 8 of 1949

(1) The State Government may, by notification, declare any area to be an infected area and direct that every owner of any animal of the kind specified in the notification shall get it inoculated or vaccinated, as the case may be.

(2) The State Government or the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services or any Officer authorised in that behalf by the State Government may notify in the prescribed manner the place or places in each village where such inoculation or vaccination shall be done.

(3) The owner of the animal which is required to be vaccinated or inoculated under this section, shall produce it for the said purpose at the place notified

(4) Subject to the control of the State Government, the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, may issue directions as to the manner of inoculation or vaccination and the manner of marking the animals so treated.]
