Section 14: Burden of proof

Where any person is prosecuted for contravening any order made under this Act which prohibits him from doing an act or being in possession of a thing without lawful authority or excuse or without a permit, licence, certificate or permission, the burden of proof that he has such authority or excuse or, as the case may be, the requisite permit, licence, certificate or permission shall be on him.
