Section 41: Grant of licences by Collector and submission of list, objections and suggestions to Excise Commissioner

(1) After the date prescribed for receipt of objections and suggestions the Collector shall consider all the objections and suggestions submitted under Section 40 and if necessary, revise the said list, and shall decide for which places licences for the retail sale of spirit shall be granted :

Provided that no objections shall ordinarily be entertained for shops continuing in an area for more than three years, unless there are special reasons to be recorded in writing.

(2) The Collector shall there upon submit the said list, as so revised, and the said objections and suggestions and his own opinion and recommendations, if any, to the Excise Commissioner.
