Section 56: Power to remove difficulties

If any difficulty arises invoking effect to the provisions of this Act, the State Government may, as occasion may require, by order, do anything, not incosistent with this Act or the rules made thereunder, which appear to them necessary for the purpose of removing the difficulty.

ANNEXURE Provisions of Amending Act not incorporated in the original Act The Orissa Irrigation (Amendment) Act, 1974 (Orissa Act 21 of 1974) Savings :– Where in respect of any lands within any Block as constituted prior to the date of coming into force of this Act, an agreement has been executed in pursuance of the proviso to S. 21 of the Principal Act, as amended by this Act shall not apply to the lands within such Block till the expiry of the period for which the agreement has been entered into the expiry of the period for which the agreement has been entered into and all such agreements shall continue in force during the aforesaid period.
