In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context-
(a) "Board" means the Board established under Section 3;
(b) "khadi" means any handloom cloth woven from yarn handspun in the Union of India;

(d) "Village industries" means generally all industries whether carried on within a village or outside it, which from the normal occupation, whether wholetime or part-time of any class of rural population of the State of Orissa and in particular such industries as the State Government may by notification specify in this behalf in consultation with the Board.
Explanation-Village industries shall not include any handloom industries which produce cloth other than khadi.
