Section 26: Disqualification for corrupt practices

The Odisha Municipal Act, 1950State Act of Odisha · Act 23 of 1950

The Tribunal may declare any candidate, found to have committed any corrupt practice under the preceding section, to be incapable for any period not exceeding five years of being elected as a member of the municipality or of being appointed or retained in any office or place in the gift, disposal, pay or service of the municipality.

Provided that a disqualification under this section may be removed by an order of the Governor in this behalf.
