OPEI Amendment Act 2016State Act of Odisha · Act 3 of 2016

(1) This Act may be called the Odisha Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) Amendment Act,

2016.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 4th day of January, 2016.

Amendment of section 2.

2. In the Odisha Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) Act, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), in section 2, for clause (k), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:— Odisha Act, 4 of 2007.

Short title and commencement.

2 “(k) ‘Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)’ means an entrance test as may be decided by the Government for all professional educational Institutions, for determination of merit of the candidates followed by centralized counselling for the purpose of admission to such institutions through a single window system;”.

Amendment of section 3.

3. In the principal Act, for Section 3, the following Section shall be substituted, namely:— “Method of admission in professional educational Institutions.
