( 1) After notification under sec~ion 3, every land owner may submit in the cpncerned Tahasil Office or Camp Offiu. a self­ declaration of plots owned or held by him in the prescribed manner.

(2) The Tahasil Office or Camp Office, as the case may be, shall verify the self-declaration received under sub-section (1) on the basis of the available records and issue verification certificate.

Explanation.- For the purpose of this section "Panchayati Raj Institution" means the Institution of self-Government constituted under article 2438 of the Constitution for the rural areas.
