Section 26: Custody of securities

The Official Trustees (Maharashtra) Rules, 1971State Rules of Maharashtra · 1913

All Government securities vesting in the Official Trustee and coming into his possession, shall be lodged by him, as soon as practicable in the Bank for safe custody, except in any case in which it may be necessary to retain them temporarily for any purpose. Debentures, shares, title deeds and similar documents may, either be lodged in the bank for safe custody, or may be retained by the Official Trustee in his own custody as he may, in each case, consider most beneficial to the trust concerned.
