Section 11: Security deposit

(1) An applicant for a reconnaissance permit shall, before the deed referred to in sub-rule (1) of rule 10 is executed, deposit as security, for the observance of the terms and conditions of the permit a sum of one thousand rupees for every standard block of five minutes latitude by five minutes longitude covered under the reconnaissance permit.

(2) Any deposit made under sub-rule (1), if not forfeited under these rules shall be refunded to the applicant as soon as the full report referred to in clause (d) of sub­ section (2) of section 5 is submitted.
