Section 68: Suspension of operations

(1) The administering authority may, if it considers that adequate reasons have been furnished, authorize for periods not on any occasion exceeding six months, suspension of operations relating to permit, licence or lease.

(2) The administering authority may, if it authorizes suspension as aforesaid, impose such conditions as it may think fit for protection of reconnaissance, exploration or production operations or for protection of mineral deposits or for any other purpose whatsoever, the permitee, licensee or the lessee shall comply with such conditions as if, they are incorporated in the permit, licence or the lease.
