Section 21: (1) Journeys to obtain medical treatment etc.

(a) An employee or any member of his family will be entitled to travel by rail, road or air according to the exigency of each case and the actual cost of travel limited to fare of the entitled class will be reimbursed for the patient as well as for attendant/ escort.

(2) Reimbursement of Ambulance charges :- An employee will be entitled to reimbursement of charges paid for ambulance used for his conveyance or conveyance of members of his family if it is certified to be necessary by the attending Medical Officer.
