LARGE ANIMALS including GOATS, SHEEP & PIGS Charges
(a) 1st visit for a new case to the farmers house, would be charged and Rs. 20/- repeat visit for same case charged Rs. 10/
(b) Cases brought at the Centres would be charged every time. Rs. 5/- FOR PET DOGS, CATS, Etc.
(a) House visit are not to be encouraged. However, in emergency if a house visit is undertaken the charges would be (for the first visit) Rs. 50/- and subsequent visits would be charged. Rs. 30/-
(b) Charges would be for every visits to the Institutes/Hospital/Dispensaries. Medicines available in the Centres used for treatment, shall be free of cost.
Any medicines required for the treatment but not available in the stock at the Hospital/Dispensary and Centre has to be arranged by the livestock owner at his cost.
No charges are to be collected when reports for infectious and contagious disease are attended.
Vaccination against infectious and contagious disease would continue to remain free except for all pets.
Rs. 20/- In case of Anti-Rabies Vaccine in dogs, the owner will be charged for the first dose. Rs. 40/- And for subsequent dose which includes the cost of Vaccine Rs. 30/- All other vaccines for dogs and other pets would have to be brought by the owner and the service charges shall be at the Centres.
Rs. 20/- Anti-rabies post bite vaccination will be provided for large animals per shot. Rs. 20/- Pet owners have to pay per post bite vaccine at the Centre. Rs. 40/- Artificial Insemination/Infertility cases All Artificial Inseminations as many times required and treatment of infertility cases will be provided free of cost to large animals.
- Surgery for Large Animals Major Surgery Rs. 100/- Minor Surgery Rs. 50/- Post operative care will be charged as mentioned in the previous paras meant for large animals.
For Pets:
Major Surgery Rs. 200/- Minor Surgery Rs. 100/- Euthanasia (for large animals also) Rs. 100/- Post operative care will be charged as mentioned in previous paras meant for pets.
Hospitals:
Radiography Examination (X’Ray) Rs. 100/- Ultra Sonography Rs. 150/- Poultry:
Service charges for 100 birds inclusive of vaccines.
Any farmer having less than 100 birds will be entitled for free services.
Rs. 10/- Processing cases of farmers for various Departmental Schemes will be charged. Rs. 10/- Issue of Health Certificates outside India will be charged. Rs. 200/- Issue of Health Certificate within India. Rs. 100/- Manure:
Farm manure of Cattle and Piggery Farms will be charged (per metric tonne). Rs. 150/- Per bundle of 25 kgs. of dry hay will be charged. Rs. 50/- Disease Investigation Unit Laboratory Findings Blood test, Urine test, faecel examinations and skin scrapping etc., will be charged in case of pet animals and will be free in case of large animals.
Rs. 20/- Postmortem examination in case of small and large animals will be charged. Rs. 100/- For poultry birds Rs. 10/- For all the Livestock animals will be charged. Rs. 100/- -3- Meat samples examination (per tonne) and for issue of Certificate will be charged. Rs. 100/- Culture with antibiotic sensitivity test Rs. 50/- Test conducted by Biochemistry Analyser, SGOT, SGPT, Urea, Creatinine, Bilirubin Glucose, Protein Albumin, Na K, Cl, Ca, etc. each test.
Rs. 50/- Goa Animal Preservation Act, 1995
(a) Inspection charges for beef or beef products sold per kg. wt. 0.50 paisa
(b) Anti-Mortem charges for animals slaughtered for beef per animal. Rs. 20/-
(c) Meat examined and certified for export including issue of Certificate. 0.50 paisa Animals belonging to Government Departments and Dwarka Goseva Ashram will be provided with free services.
Government accommodation of the Department
(a) Self contained room for guests other then STC/FTC Trainees (Twin sharing). Rs. 100/- (per day) By order and in the name of the Governor of Goa.
