Ordinance for Doctoral programmes (Amended) 2O1g Preamble Scfrool of Planning and Architocture Bhopat (SPAB), established in 2OO8 under an Act of Parliament as an autonomous institute o, nationat importance by the Minist y of Human Resource Development Government of lndia is mandaied to promote education anct research in planning and architecfural studies. Given ib mandate, SPAB intends to t€ the preeminent pubtic research and teaching academy in architecture and planning in the country and aspires to attain (a) international standard by integreting teaching and learning, (b) advancement of the knowiedge base through research and scholarship and (c) leadership in seMce and out each.
SPAB aspires to emerge as an intemational academy whose academic portfolio, research ag6nda, and educational model atign with the shiiing needs of the society. It stives for built sustenance through sustainable architecture, social sustenan@ through universal design, culfural sustenance through conservation, and human setdement sustenance th.ough habitat ptanning and design. The school is committed to train planners and architecb for the nation who could exhibit high academic strandards and take up the challenges of physical and socioenvironmental development of lhe couniay. SPAB aspires to engage in meaningful research on topical themes in the areas which inter alia include sustainable ar.fiitecture, urban planning, heritage @nservation, urban design, universal design, regional planning, Eansport and logistics planning, landscape architecture and design. The broad objectives of the Ph.D. prcg.amme ate not only to keep pace with the expanding horizons of knowledge, but also to contribute to the present needs of the society in relation to social, cultural and environmental sustenance through the research findings. The Ph.D. programme at SPAB intends to encourage analylical investigations into the areas of research applying qualitative or quantitative approach with the ultimate objective of culminating into a creative and productive enquiry into the domain of Architecture and Pianning.
The academic programme leading to lhe Ph.D. degree is broad-based and involves a minimum course credit requiremenl and a research dissertation. SPAB sbongly encourages research ln interdisciplinary areas through a well coordinated interdepa(mental academic collaboration. The presence of a dedicated pool of tuculty in SPAB provides excellent opportunities ior carrying out research in divetse fields of Architecture and Planning.

Ietod the PhD Appoved in 3{ BOG 2lPage b) The PhD Programme with the goveming regulations is formulated by the Senate of SPAB. The Senate can modiry regulatjons from time to time as and when wananted.
c) A PhD scholar to be awarded the phD degree has to submit a dissertation report incorporating the findings of his./her research canied out under this programme_ The dissertation shoutd make an originat conlfbution of high quality to tne advancement of knowledge as judged by the experts in the relevant area.
d) A PhD scholar becomes eligibte for the award of the phD degree after fulfilling allthe academic requirements prescribed by the Senate.
e) The award shall be made upon the recommendation of lhe Senate of SPAE!
and its ratification by the Board of Govemors of SPAB.
0 The PhD degree shall b€ awarded in the discipline ot the Department which registers the PhD scholar for the phD programme.
Requlalions The degree of Doctor of philosophy, abbreviated as ph.D., shall be awarded to a PhD scholar upon the complelion of hjs / her writing the dissertation which exhibits a high quality criticat and analytical investigation into the assigned area of research that leads to original cont.ibutjon to the exisling knowledge. The phD degree of SPAB shall be conlerred on a phD scholar wtro tulfits a the requiremenb specified in the Regulat'ons (RG). The phD programme of SPAB wifl be coordinated by the Dean, Academic Affairs (DoAA) appointed by the Chairperson, Senate from amongst the faculty of SPAB wilh ph.D., lyho has cohsiderable research experience and successtully guided at least one ph-D. schotar. DoAA shall be assisted by a Coordinator to be nominated by the Chairperson, Senate from amongst any regular SPAB faculty having a doctoral degree. The Coordinator of Doctoral programme shall assist the DoAA to conduct the phD programme smoothly.
tion 1: Ad ion to PhD Pmo ramme a) DoAA shall issue the Admission Notice for the phD programme offered under different departments of SpAE].
b) An applicant shall appty in prqscnbed format (Annexure l) gadmission to the Awovedin3{Boc 3tpase W- PhD Programme within the stipulated time mentioned in the Admission Notification made under RG '1 (a).
c) DoAA thall constitute lnteMew Panel (s) with prior approval ot lhe Chairpetson, Senate to oversee the admission process to the PhD programme.
d) An applicant shall indicate his / her choice of department under which s/he wishes to carry out his / her PhD research. However the DAC reseNes the right to allocab a department to a PhD scholar other than lhe department s/he opts for based on his/her proposed area of research.
e) The Admission to rle PhD programme shall usually be made at the beginning of each Academic session with the provision of having bi - annual admission subject to the number of applicetions reoeived, number of vacant seats available with prior permission ofthe Chairperson, Senate.
D Admission to the PhO progElmme shall be conduc{ed through an enbance test by the Admassion Committee to be constituted by DoAA with prior approval of the Chairperson, Senate. The enbance test shall have two parts:
Part - A carrying fifty ma*s shall be a written test common to all applicants to judge the analytical ability and knowledge of the concerned Core Subiec't of the candidate. Part - B carrying fifly marks shall be a viva voce conducted by the respective lnterview Panels on the basis of a short PowerPoint presentation by the candidate on his / her area of research interest' The Admission Committee may relax the criteria of in-person appearance at lhe entrance test and viva voce aM instead conduct an interview through Skype in the case of Foreign Nationals and highly qualified and vastly experienced candidates.
g) Ofrce of AR (A) shall verify the documents before issuing an Admit Card to the applicantto sit for the enkance tesl h) AR (A) shall cause to send the malks scored by ttre applicants in the wriften part of the entrance test to the office of DoAA soon after the evaluation of answer scripts. DoAA shall send the marks sh€et to th€ respective lnterview Panels for conduclng the viva voce part of the entrance test.

k) Upon qualifying himself/hers€lf at the enlrance test, an applicant shall be provisionally admitted to the phD programme on payment of prescribed fees and shall be registered under the Department preferably as per the choice of the app,icant if nol otheMise decided by the DAC.
l) Once admited to the phD programme under .espective Department, the respeclive DRC shall facilitate and review th6 research wo* of the phD scholar.
m) Although, it is not plausible to have identical number of phD scholars across the Departments, allocation of phD scho{ars across each Department sha depend on the availabjlity of Supervisor in each department and taking into consideration the maximum number of phD scholars a pemanent fulltime Iaculty of SPAB in that department can supervise / co_supervise.
n) Selected applicants \,yho are in employment elsewhere must produce a No Objection Certificate from their respeclive institute / employer at the time of admission to the phD programme.
o) Reservalions for SC/ ST/ OBC/ persons with Disabilities and other categorjes shall be as per Govemment of lndia norms.
p) A PhD scholar shall normally be admitted to the phD programme in the odd semesler- However, a waiflisted phD scholar may be admitted to the phD programme in the even semester as well subject to vacancy of seats.
q) The total number ol seats under the phD programme shall be revised by the Senate froft time to time and the admission to the phD programme shall be restricted to the max,mum numbea of seats so apprcved.
r) An applacant registered to the phD programme shall continue to be a phD scholar until the otficial notification towards the contument of phD dogree to him/her Apwved in 34 BOG 5lPage Reoulation 2: Edqcauonaland Professional Eliqibilitv for Admission to PhD Proqramme An applicant shall be eligible to apply for the Ph.D. programme of SPAB provided Jhe

(a) has qualified for the award oI Masters degree of a recognized institution or university in various specialization of Architecture or Planning or allied subjects with 60% marks (55% for reserved categories) or equivalent grade.
OR
2.
(a) has qual'Iied for the award of Bachelors degree of a recognized institution or university in Architecture or Planning wlth 75% marks O0% for reserved categories) or equivalent grade.
(b) has professional / research expeience for a minimum period of five years after obtaining the Bachelots degree.
Requlation 3: Cateoories of Admissions Applicants wjll be admitted to the Ph.D. programme of SPAB under any one of the following categories:
a) Full-time PhD scholars with MHRD Scholarship,/ Fellowships.
b) Full-time PhD scholars under the Quality lmprovement Programme (OIP) with fellowships.
c) Full time PhD schola6 with other Govemment / Quasi Government / lnstitutional Fellowship or Scholarship d) self-fnanced lndian (inoluding ocl, Plos) and Foreign tull time or part time PhD scholars.
e) Full time / part time PhD scholar under international collaboration including tccR.
D Part time PhD scholar who is a Permanent Facuity / Research Assistant ' Technical Assistant or any other duly approved category of SPAB stafi and has the minimum educa0onal qualifications as prescribed under RG 2 and has an e)eerien@ of more than 6ve Years.
g) Part time PhD scholar who is attached to any SPAB researcl2r consultancy Approvodin3i Boc 6tPa s e W* projec-t. An applicant admitted to the phD programme under this category must submit his/her apptication form through the Dean (R&D) of SPAB.
h) Full time or part time phD scholars sponsored by any institution / organizalion recognized by SPAB Such spohsored candidate must have at least five yearc of professional / research expeaience and must submit his/her application through his/her emptoyer with suitable endorsement that srfhe sha:l be granted leave for the mandatory residency period required under the phD programme i) Full time PhD scholars registered earlier in other UGC recognized institutions / universities and transferred to SPAB as per UGC norms.
j) lnespective of the award of any Scholarship / Fellowship / Sponsorship, an applicant must have the minimum educational quatification and expedence as prescribed under RG 2 and must qualify at the enbance test conducbd under RG 1 (D to be eligibte for admission to the phD programme.
k) A tull time PhD schotar may apply in prescribed format (Annexure) to ca.ry out the rcsearch as part time phD schotar to DoAA only after the successful completion of coursework and topic fnalization. S/he shall cease to draw any fellorrship / scholarship fiom the date of his / her application.
l) No PhD scholar can revert to tu time once his / her application has been accepted by DoAA except under exLa ordinary circumstiances as approved by the Chairperson, Senate.
Requlations 4: lntemational Students Foreign nationals can register as full time phD scholars. Foreign Nationats with degree from lndian Lrniversities will be treeted at par with lndian nationals for admission purpose and their eligibitity would be as per RG 2. Foreign National8 with ,oreign degrees must meet the minimum educational requirements as given in RG 2. SPAB raserves the right to ask for vatid scores in GATE / CEED / cRE or equivalent and TOEFU IELTS/ pTE, if warranted. lfiespective of his / her obtaining the degree from either lndian / Foreign university, a foreign national must qualify at the entrance test as given under RG 1 (f).
Requlation 5: Dailv Attendance and Guidelines for Availinq Scholarship /Fell hio a) A full time phD scholar shall record his / he, attendance daily in the awoved in 34 Boc TlPage Attendance Register available with the ofilce of DoAA dudng the entire period of his./ her studentship as a fulltime PhD scholar.
b) A part time PhO scholar shall record his / her attendance daily in the Attendance Register available with the office of DoAA till the mandatory residency Period.
c) A PhD scholar admitted to the PhD programme under any scholarship / fellowship / sponsorship must produce the valid award letter issued by he respective scholarship / fellowship / sponsorship agency d) No PhD scholar shall be p€tmitH to receive any emolumenta, salary, stipend or any other scholarship / assistanbhip during the tenure of any scholarship / fellowship / sponsorship under which s/he has been admitted to lhe PhD programme.
e) SPAB reserves the right to grant the Scholarship / Fellowship under GATE, JRF etc. to a PhD scholar provided s/he possesses a score lhat is above the cut off level as decided by the competent authority from time to time 0 Continuance of the scholarship / fellowship / sponsorship shall be contingent upon the progress of the research made by the respective PhD scholar as evaluated by the respective DRC and shall be withdrawn if so wa.ranted on grounds of poor or no progress.
g) No PhD scholar shall normally be allowed to change the category under which s/he is enrolled to the PhD programme.
Reoulation 6: Nature of Work aqainst Schola.shiD, FellolYship Full-Time PhD scholaG getting Scholarship / Fellowship shall be required to assist in the following activities assigned by DoAA:
a) Assisting in the research work / Projects of SPAB b) Assisting in a laboratory course (not more than one laboratory oouBe at the bachelors or masters level in a semester) c) Assisting in the tutorial / studio (no more than the tutorial of one theory @urse at the bachelors or masters level in a semester) d) Assisting in the maintenance of SPAB website e) Assisting in the maintenance of SPAE) library 0 Assisting in the maintenanoe of SPAB laboratories Apprcved h 3{ BoG SlPage g) Assisting in academic and other events of SPAB, CoA / lTpl visits The Work Schedute wil be intimated to the phD schotars through the office of DoAA at the beginning of every semester. tn no case. the work load should exceed eight hours per week. The phD schotars shall not be assigned a complete theory course to teach at the bachelors or masters level. preferably they may be attached only to tutorials/ studios. The phD scholaE sha not be involved in settirg of question papers and evaluatton of answer scripts of bachelors or masteB courses.
During the leave of absence of a phD scholar, as admissible under RG 29. the work assigned to him/hershall be re-allotted to other phD s.holars, if need be.
Requlation 7: Reqistration a) An applicant having qualified h;mself / herself at fte entrance test shall be admitted to the phD programme upon the payment of requisite fees.
b) A PhD scholar shall renew his/her registration for each academic year by paying the requisite iees till the academic year during which she defends her disseftation report in the viva voce.
c) A PhD schotar shall confrm the amount of tues payable from the offce of AR (A) before tendering it.
d) A PhD schotar shall pay the prescribed Examination Fees at the time ol submitting the dissertation report.
e) Failure to renew registration for subsequent academic year for two consecutive academic years shall lead to the cancellation of registration from the PhD programme.
0 Foreign PhD schotar shal pay equivatent amount of all prescribed fees from time to tjme in lndian rupees.
Requlalion 8: Cancellation of phD Reqistration Registralion of a PhD scholar shall stand cancelled for any of the followjng reasons:
a) Giving false information at the time of applicalion / admassion.
b) Not conforming to the regulations ofthe phD programme.
c) Failure to successtu,ly complele the prescribed cou.sework.
d) Consistent lack of progress in research.
e) Violation of discjpline and conduct rules of SPAB, D Not submitting the dissertation report rlithin the stiputated period Appbved in 3? Bac 9lPage g) Submission of plagiarized report h) Non submission of progress repo.t to DRC at least a fortnight before ihe DRC meets ,or three consecutive occasions.
i) Not enrolling for academic session / semester by paying prescribed tues within the slipulated dates.

k) Failure to defend (ne viva voce satisfactorily.
l) Remaining absent beyond the petiod as granted under RG 29.
Requlation 9: Conferment ot PhD Deqree The Ph.D- degree shall be confened to a registered PhD scholar subject to the fulfi llment of following conditions:
a) Successtul compleEon of the coursework within the prescribed residency period as given under RG 1 0 and RG 'l '1 .
b) Finalizatjon of dissertatjon topic within the prescribed period from the date ot registration to the PhD Programme as given under RG '12.
c) Successtully carrying out the researoh under the guidance of approved supeMsor(s) for at least two years from the date of topic finalization' d) Publication / presentation of paper in peer reviewed iournals and seminars I conferences respectively as given under RG 25.
e) Satjsfactory performance at the Pre-Thesis€ubmission seminar as given under RG 24.
f) Affirmative concurrence to the dissertaton report by the external examiners as given under RG 27.
g) Successful defense of the dissertation at the viva voce as given under RG 2E' Requlation 10; conduclins the Coursework a) Respective DRC shall Propose an appropriate coursework for the PhD scholar taking into oonsideration the PhD scholar's intended area of research immediately after the registtation of the PhD scholarb) The coursework shall comprise ol three subjects and two seminar presentations. Vvhile one subiect will be Research Mgthodology to be conducted by the omce of DoAA, two other subjecb will be from theory sub,ects to be chosen from either the compulsory or eleciivfubjecb ofiered Apptovd, in 34 Boa lolPa s e W- by respective departments at the Maters level. A[ the three Subjects and Seminar presenlations shall be awaded grade / marks.
c) Respective DRC shall forward the recommended subjects for a phD scholar to the concerned Head of Departnent (s) through lhe office of DoAA.
d) Coordinator of Doctoral programme shall ensure that the concerned phD scholaris enrolled to the particularclass on the subject.
e) The evaluation oI transfer of knowledge against the two theory Subjects and he Subiect on Research Methodology (as given under RG 10 b) shall be decided by ffte respective Subject Coordinator and / or the DRC / Committee set up by the Chairperson of Senate- D Coordinator of Doctroral programme shall maintain a Register for entering the Subjects succ€sstully completed by the respective phD scholar.
g) A PhD schotar wi be required to make two semina. presentations before the concerned DRC on the lopics approved by the latter as part of his / her coursework. A phD schotar shall have b submit a write up on the seminar topic within 3000 - SOOO words with a proper tite, objectives, literature survey, methodology, lindings / obseryatjons and a brief bibliography.
h) A PhD scholar shafl present a po\,,/erpoint presenhtion on approved topics in both Seminar 1 and 2. Ihe powerpoint presentation should idea y be restricted to twenty slides. The powerpoint presentation shall be completed within trrirty minutes following which there would be a twenty minute question - answer s€ssion_ i) Distribution of credit aqoss the coursewor* would be as foltows:

l) A PhD scholar shall normally present only one seminar in eaoh semester subject to the condition that s/he shall not be allowed to present any seminar in the first semesbr. A PhD scholar however must complete presenting his / her bolh seminars within a matmum period of two years (ie., within four consecutive semesters) from the date of registation to the PhD programme.
m) Registration of a PhD schotar, availing semester drop, shall stand cancelled if s/he fails to complete the @ursework within three years (i'e., within six consecutive semesters) from the date of registration to the PhD programme' Reoulation 1l: Requirement of Minimum Residencv Period and Semester Droo {Withdrawal Perlod) a) The minimum residency period for successfully completing the prescribed coursework for a Ph.D. schotar shall be twelve months from the date of registration to the PhD programme.
b) The minimum residency period shall not apPly in the case of those PhD scholars who choose to study all he ihree Subjecb as mentioned under RG 10 (i) otrered by any other instituie (recognized by SPAB) subjeGl to the approval of concemed DRC.
c) A PhD scholar will not be allowed to withdraw iemporarily from ttle PhD programme before the comple8on of the coursewqrk.
d) A PhD scholar may be granted sem6ter drop upto a maximum of two semestgrs on bonafide grounds by the Chairperson, Senate. Except on medical gaounds or ext? ordinary circumstances' semester drop !s not permissible before successful completion of coursework and finalization of topic within the prescdb€d period. A PhD scholar applying for semester d'op shall apply in prescribed format (Annexure) and submit his / her application to the Chairperson of respective DRC through his/her Supervisor. The DRC shall examino the gravity of the case and send its observation DoAA who will Apptowd in 34 BoG 12lPa ge forward the same to the Chairpe6on, Senate with his/her observation. Casqs of semester drop shall be reported to the Senab and no scholarship / fellowship shall be admissible during the period of a semester drop. The pedod of semester drcp will not be counted ;n the prescribed time limit for completion of the phD programme.
e) After the minimum residency period as prescribed in RG 11 (a), a ph.D.
scholar shall be permitted to carry out pan or whole of hjs/ her research work outside SPAB in any laboratory, workshop, worksites and other research centres recognized by SPAB.
Requlation 12: Finalization ofthe Dissertation Tooic a) The PhD scholar in consuttalion with his / her Supervisor shall finalize the dissertation topic.
b) Once the PhD scholar and his / her supeMsor agrce with ttle topic, the Supervisor shall request the concerned DRC to examine it. DRC shallconduct the Topic - finatization seminar_ Chairperson of concemed DRC shall ensure the parlicipation ol at least one external expert of the DRC to the topic finalization seminar.
c) The PhD scholar shall submit a synopsis on the proposed topic o, dissertation and give a Powerpoint presentation before the DRC.
d) The synopsis shoutd be typed within a rninimum of SOOO or a maximum of 10000 words in Ariel, 1.1 font..t.5linespacilg.
e) The Pori/ePoint presentation should ideally not have more than twenty stides and should be compteted within thirty minutes. The presentation shall be followed by thirty minute question - answer session between the phD scholar and the DRC.
0 Upon satisfying itself with lhe proposed dissertation topic, fle concemed DRC shall recommend approval to the topic to the Chairpe6on, Senate through DoAA g) DoAA shall rectmmend approval to the topic in prescribed format (Annexure) to the Chairperson, Senate for app,oval of Senate. DoAA may seek DAC,S endorsement to the proposed topic, if wananbd, before recommending it to the Chairperson, Senate for approval of Senate.

l) Dissertation topic must be finalized within four semesters from the date of registration to the PhD Programme.
m) Registralion of a PhD scholar, availing semester drop, shall stand canceled if s/he fails to finalise the topic wihin three years (i.e., wiflin six consecutive sem€sters) from the date of registradon to the PhD programme' n) A PhD scholar shall get three chances to get his'her PhD topic finalized within the stipulated period as given under RG 12 (land m).
o) lf the PhD scholar fails to defend his/her topic for the third time, his'/her PhO regislration shall stand annulled.
Reoulation 13: Definition of sueervisor t co-Suoervisor, Extemal Guide 'SupeMsoi shall mean a permanent tulltime facutty of SPAB, holding a PhD and having expertise in tho proposed arca of research of the respeclive PhD scholar to supeNise latb/s research / academic wod( S/he will be considered as lhe main guide and shall be consulted in all matters related to the research works of the PhD scholar after his /her appointnent.'Co - SupeNisor'shall mean a permanent tutltime faculty of SPAB or any other recognized institution, holding a PhD and having epertise in the proposed area of research of the respective PhD scholar to co - supervise the research / academic work of fle PhO scholar' 'Extemal Guide' ap\oved io 3{ BoG l,llPage shall mean an expert in the con(Emed rqsearch area of the respective phD scholar trom outsid€ SPAB to co - supervise the research / academic work of the phD scholar. The Co-supeNisor / Ext6mat Guide (rf any) shall undertake joint supervision of the research work of the phD scholar through mutual consultations with the Supervisor. Minimum years of experience required ior a permanent fulltime faculty of SPAB to be eligible to become Supervisor or Co-supervisor shafl b€ two years and one year respectivety from the date of award of phD degree to him / her.
Requlation 14i Choice of Supervisor a) Takng into consideration the .esearch prcfle of the permanent fulltime faculty of SPAB, a phD scholar shafl give his /her choice for Supervisor in prescribed fomat after obtaining the consent of the particular faculty of SPAB. The Supervisor Choice form (Annexure) duly signed by the concerned faculty of SPAB and the phD scholar must be submitted to the Chairperson of concemed DRC within first six months of registering into the phD programme.
b) A PhD scholar may choose a Supervtsor / Co_supervisor from any departmeot other than the depa.tment s,/he is assigned to subject to the conditjon that the Supervisor / Co_supervisor has the requisite expertise and concemed DRC endorses such choice of concemed phD scholar in view of the interdisciplinary nature of the rcsearch work_ c) Each PhD scholar shafl have one Superyisor from SPAB who will be the intemal as well as ma,n guide.
d) A PhD scholar can request for a Co_ SupeMsor in the prescribed format (Annexure) duly signed by the phD scholar and the Co_Supervisor respectively and submit the same to the Chairperson of concemed DRC. lt would be the prerogative of concemed DRC to accept or re.iect such request f.om the PhD scholar.
e) There shall not be more lhan two Supervisors (Supervisor and Co_supervisor) for a PhD scholar from amongst the permanent fulltime faculty of SPAB.
0 A PhD scholar can request for an Externat Guide in the prescribed format (Annexure) duly signed by the phD scholar and the External cuide respectively and submit the same to the Chairperson of concemed DRC. ln such case, the phD scholar wili be required to submit a brief biMata of fhe External Guide to lhe DoAA. lt woutd be the prerogative of med DRC to Agproved k 34 BOG 15lPa9e accept or reiect such request from the PhD scholaa.
g) Cc.supervisor and / or External Guide may be apPointed at any stage of the research work but the PhD scholar shall not be allowed to submit the linal dissertation within one yearofmaking such appointment.
h) At any point of time, a PhD sohotar shall nol have more than three peEons guiding him/her.
Requlation 15: Chanoe of suDervbor, co$upervisor/ ExGmalGuide Upon the request of the Ph.D. scholar or upon the request of the Supervisor / Co- Supervisor ,/ External Guide, the con@rned DRC may recommend appointnent of rEw SupeNisor / Co-SupeMsor / External Guide to the DoAA DoAA shall refer the matter to the Chairperson, Senate and recommend the subsequent appointment of new Supervisor / Co-SupeNisor,/ ExternalGuide as the case may be. Such change of Supervisor / Co-supervisor/ External Guide shall be admissible only once during the entire period of studenbhip of a PhD scholar A PhD scholar shall not be allowed to submit tinal dissertation report within one year of making such change of Supervisor ,/ Cosupervisor / Extemal Guid€. No change of Supervisor / Co- Supervisor/ bdemal Guide shall be entertained in less than one year from the date of submission of final dissertation report.
Requlation 16: Aooointrnent of SuDewisor, Co-Suoewisor, External Guide a) Appointrnent of Supervisor / Co-SupeMsor / Extemal Guide shall be made by the Chairperson, Senate on the recommendation of DRC.
b) Appointrnert oI 'Co-supervisof and 'Extemal Guide' shall be contingent upon the written endorsement of the Supervisor in the prescribed format (Annexure) and subsequent approval by the conoerned DRC.
c) Recommendation of DRC to the appointment of Supervisor ./ Co-Supervisor I External Guide under RG 16 (a to b) shall be sent to DoAA who shall forward the same to ttle Chairyerson, Senate.
d) Continuance of retired faculty of SPAB as Supervisor / Co-Supervisor i- When a SPAB facutty member, who has guided a PhO scholar for at least three years as SupeMsor, retires, s/he shall be allowed to continue as the Awroved in 34 BOG 16lPa g e Co€upervisor ln such cases, DRC shall reclmmend the appointment ofa permanent full time SPAB faculty as the Sup€rvisor to the Chairp€rson, Senate through DoAA.
ii. When a SPAB facllty membel who has guided a phD schotar for less than three years as Supervisor, rctires, s/he may be allowed to continue as the External guide. ln such cases, DRC shall recommend the appointrnent of a pemanent full time SPAB faculty as the SupeNisor to the Chairperson, Senate lhrough DoAuA.
iii. When a SPAB faculty member, who has guided a phD scholar as Co- SupeMsor retires, sitE may be invited in the meeting of DRC as an extemal expert.
e) In case a faculty member of SPAB who is the Supervisor goes on leave for a period exceeding six month, another faculty member of SPAB having the eligibility as per RG 13 wi be appointed as Cosupervisor by the Chairperson, Senate on the re@mmendation of DRC (Annexure). A faculty so appointed shall conttnue to be the Co-supervisor during the rest of the period of studentship of the phD scholar.
D ln case a faculv member of SPAB who is the Supervisor resigns from SpA!), s/he may be allowed to act as Co€upervisor. ln such case, a new SupeMsor from amongst the faculty members of SPAB having the eligibility as per RG .13 shall be appointed by the Chairperson, Senate on the reclmmendation of DRC within three monttE (Annexure).
g) At one point of time, number of ph.D. schotars under a SPAB faculty shall not be more than llve. In case ofjoint supervision the number would be counted as one for Supervjsor and halt for Co_Supervisor. The tenure of a Supervisor/Co-Supervisor/Extemal cuide shall be counted from the date of his / her appoinlrnent as SupeMsor/Co_supervisor till the date of Notificatjon of PhD degree conferment h) lf by oversight, any SPAB faculty is found to be exceeding the maximum number of PhD scholars s/he can supeNise, s/he shall act as a mentor to the PhD schola. tjll such time a Supervisor is allocated to the phD scholar, The concerned DRC shall have to find a SupeMsor for the phD scholar as early as possible in such cases.
Awtoved in s{ Boc 17lPa ge 7 (DRC} The Chairperson, Senate shall constitute DePartmental Research Committee (DRC) lor each departrfient of SPAB offering PhD Programme' The composition of DRC shall be as follows:
i. Head of Departrnent - Chairperson (ex-ofiicio) ii. Three tulltime permanent faculty of SPAB having a PhD degree to be nominated by tle Chairperson. Senate _ Members iii. Two External Experts - Members iv. Dean (Academic Affairs) - Member (ex-officio) v- Coordinator, Doctoral Programme - Member (ex-offioio) vi. PhD SupeNisors ,l Co- SupeNisors of the Department - Members Members of faculty under RG 17 (ii) shall be drawn from the con@rned depa'bnent as well as other departrnents of SPAB. Professor, Associate Professor as well as Assistant Professor shall be eligible to be nominated to the DRC While nominating members ol faculty from other departrnenb' it shall b€ ensured that the profile of the faculty so nominated aligns with the research thrust of the concerned DRC' The quorum for the meeting of DRC shall be three filth of tohl number of membe6 of DRc. The tenurc of all members under RG 17 (ii) and (iii) shall be three years from the date of Notifcation of constituting the DRC which is however renewable as decided by the Chairperson, Senate.
ln the event of Head of Department not having docloral degree' senior most faculty of the department with doctoral degree shall be the chairperson of DRC- ln the event of senior most faculty of the deparbnent not having doctoral degree' Programme Coordinator of the department having doctorat degree shall be the chairperson of DRC. ln the event of Programme Coordinator oI the departnent not having dodoral degree, Head of any other department with dootoral degree shall be nominated as the chairperson of DRC Chairperson, Senate reserves the right to reconstitute the DRC before the expiry of its tenure, if warranted' Awroved in 34 BoG lSlPage Reo on 17 B: C.l titution .rf rch Revi.-w Committra tsRRc) On the recommendation of respective DRC, Chairperson, Senate shall constihJte a thrce member Scholar Research Review Committee (SRRC) for each registered PhD scholar whos6 research topic has been duty finatized by the DRC_ SRRC shall comprise of the Chairpe6on of the concemed DRC, Supervisor ofthe phD scholar and one of the external members ot the DRC. The extemal member may be any other external expert olher than the external members inducted in fie DRC if the lopic of dissertation necessitates such expertise lo guide the phD scholar. The tenuro of SRRC shall be ftom the date of its constitution (post topic finalization) till the Notification of confennent of phD degree. An External member of DRC nominated to SRRC shall continue to be on the SRRC tilt the Nolification of conferment of PhD degree to the particular phD scholar inespective of his/her renomination to lhe DRC, Chairperson, Senate reseNes the rightto reconstitute the SRRC before the expiry of its tenure. if warranted.
Requlation l8 A:Functions of Departmental Research Committee (DRC) Funclions of DRC shall be as toltor,,rs:
i. DRC shall recommend and approve the coursework for the phD scholar besides conducting Seminar 1 and 2 as given under RG 10.
ii. DRC shall examine the cases of semester drop and give its recommendation to DoAA as given under RG l1(c).
iii. DRC shall conduct the Topic - finalization seminar to approve the topic of dissertaiion.
iv. Chairperson of concerned DRC shall ensure the participation of at least one extemalexpert ofthe DRC to the topic fnalization seminaa v. Chairperson, DRC may invite any member of SPAB faculty to the meeting of DRC if the latteis expertise is wananted to finalize any matter r€lated to the research work of a phD scholar.
vi. Once approved, the DRC shall recommend approval to the topic to the Chairp€rson, Senate through DoAA.
vii. DRC shall recommend the appointrnent of Supe.visor/ Co-supeNisor / Extemal Guide of a phD scholar as given under RG 16 Apsoved n 34 BoG 19lPage viii. DRC shall review the SRRC rBPort and forward the progress report to DoAA periodically.
ix. DRC shall examine the dissertation report and satisfy itself with the research work belore conducting the Pre_Thesis-Submission seminar.
)C DRC shall forward the panel of extemal examineG lor evaluation of the dissertation report to the Chairperson, Senate through DoAA as required under RG 27 (b).
xi. Upon the receipt of communication fiom DoAA about the aoceptance of the dissertation report by the extemal examiners, DRC shall seek approval fiom the Chairperson, Senate through DoAA for the conduc't of viva vo@ as gilen under RG 28.
xii. Chairperson, DRC shall request the Coordinator, Dootoral Programme to convene meeting of DRC from time to time or whenever wananted.
iii. Coordinator, Doctoral Programme, shall lecord the minutes of lhe meeting and cause to send the same to all concemed.
xjv. Any other tunctions as and when directed by fle Chairperson, Senate.
Requlation 18 B: Functions of Scholar R6earch Review CommitGe {sRRC) i. SRRC shall conduct periodic reviews to ascertain the PhD scholals progress in his/her research woft as given under RG 21.
ii. SRRC shall torward the progress report of the PhD scholar to the Chairperson of concerned DRC who shall forward the same to DoAA from time to time as given under RG 2'1.
iii. SRRC shall suggest suitable remedial action to the ChairPerson of concemed DRC which shall forward the same to the Chairperson, Senate' through DoAA if the PhD scholads progress is not satisfactory for any reason as given under RG 21.
iv SRRC shall examine the commenb of extemal examiners and do the needful as waranted under RG 27 0).
Reoulation 19: Gonstitution of Doctoral Advisorv Committee (DACI Tlre Chairperson, Senate shall constilute a Doctoral Advisory Committee (DAC) at the institute level. The composition of DAC shall be as follows Appnwd k 34 BoG 20lPage i. Deah, Academic Affairs - Chairperson (ex-offcio) ii. All Head(s) of Departments - Members (ex_officio) Two extemal experts to be nominated by the Chairperson, Senate _ Members iii. Coordinator, Doctoral programme - Member (ex_officio) The quorufi for the meeting of DAC shall be three fifth of total number of members of DAC. The tenure of all non ex-officio members oI the DAC shel, be two years from the date of Notifcation of constituting the DAC. Chairperson, Senate reserves the right to reconstitute the DAC before the expiry of -rts tenure, ifwar.anted.
of Advn c Functions of DAC shalt be as follows:
i. DAC shall recommend amendments to the phD Regulations from time to

ii. DAC shall facilitate inter departmental coordination in conducting the phD programme.
iii. DAC sha allocate the department to a phD scholar in the event o, disagreement amongst departments to decide the department under which the PhD scholar shall carry out his / her researctl.
iv. DAC may ask for reconducting ol lopic- Finalization Seminar and / or pre - Thesis - Submi$ion Seminar, ifwananted.
v. DAC shall resolve issues brought to it by the respective DRC pertaining to the PhD programme.
Reoulation 21: Review of the Research a) SRRC shall periodically review the research woft of the phD scholar and send its Report to lhe Chairperson of the concemed DRC.
b) A PhD scholar shall be requked to submit a writen report in the p.escribed format (Annexure) every six month to the respective DRC s/he is assigned to.
c) The report shoutd be forwarded through the respective Supervisor of the phD scholar.
d) The prog.ess made by a phD scholar sha be reviewed by the DRC, preferably every six month, till the fnal submission of the dissertation report_ e) DRC shall forward the progGss report to DoAA periodica y Aryoved k 3{ BoG 2llPage l) DRc shall examine the remediai actions proposed by the concerned SRRC and send its .ecommendation to the Chairperson, Senate, through DoAA iI the PhD scholais progress is not satisfactory for any reason.
g) Continuance of registration to the PhD programme and the continuan@ of the scholarship / fellowship / sponsorship shall be contingent upon the satisfaotory progress of the research made by the respective PhD scholar as evaluated by the .espec'tive SRRC and DRC.
h) Unsatistactory progress as reported by the conoerned DRC in three consecutive reviev/s shall disquality a PhD scholar and s/he shall be dersgistered from the PhD programme.
Requlation 22: Acceotance of Emolovment - Temoorarv Relief from Ph.D. Proqramme a) A tull lime PhD scholar who has been offered an employment may accept the same while keeping his./ her registration active on payment of lhe requisite Iees every year / semester as the case may be, provided s,/he:
i. Has successfully completed the course wotk ii. Has got the research topic finalized b) The registration for such PhD scholars in subsequent semesters shall however be contingent on the satsiactory progress to the satistaclion oi the concemed DRC.
c) The PhD scholar who geb employed shall cease to receive the scholarship / fellowship awarded to him ,/ her prior to the emptoyment from the day s/he is released from the PhD ProgEmme.
d) Such PhD scholars would not be allowed any extra time for completion of PhD progrcmmee) such PhD scholar shall cease to be a full time PhD scholar.
Requlation 23: Duration of PhD Proqramme a) A full lime PhD scholar shalt have to submit his,/her final dissertation report within a maximum period of six years from the date of registration into tho PhD programme, excluding the withdrawal pe.iod as provided uhder RG 1'1.
b) A part time PhD scholar may however submit his/her flnal dissertation report within a maximum period of seven years from the date of reg the Approved in 34t BoG 22lPage PhD prog.amme, exctuding the withdrawal period as provided under RG 1.1.
c) However a tull time / part time phD scholar may submit his/her final dissertation report after two years from the date of topic finalization.
d) Failure to subrnit the fnal dissertation report within lile stipulated period shall result into the cancellalion of registration of the phD scholar from the phD ProgEmme.
e) The duration of the phD programme shalt be calculated from the date of registration to the phD programme to the date of submission of the final dissertation repoft.
Reoulation 24: Pre -Thesis - Sqbmission Seminar a) On satisfactory completion of the prescribed coursework as given under RG 10 and the research work as given under RG 9 (c), the phD schola. sha,l submit draft copy of the diss€rtation report (typed and spiral bound) to the concerned ORC through his/her SRRG and request the concerned DRC to conduct the Pre-Thesis-Submission seminar (Annexure)_ b) DRC shall hold a meeting and satisfy itself with the research work before intimating DoAA about conducting the pre_Thesis_submission seminar of the PhD scholar. Presence of at least one of tle exemal members of concemed DRC, external expert of SRRC and if warranted, an eminent expert in the concemed field (to be nominated by the ChairpeGon, Senate) in the pre" Thesis-Submission seminar must be ensured c) ln the event of there being no necessity of any moctification, DRC would recommend the final evaluation of the dissertation report by the external exafiiners to DoAA.
d) From the date of receipt of communication from DoAA the phD scholar shall submit three 44 size paperback or spiralbound copies (preferably in acid free paper) of the dissertation report along wilth one digitat pDF copy in prescribed iormat (Annexure) togeher with a plagiarism checking report to the office of DoAA within one month and pay the prescribed Examination Fees.
e) ln the event of DRC not being satisfed with the dissertation report, Chairperson of DRC would send 6 Repod to the Supervisor of the phD scholar as wgll as the phD scholar detailing out the weaknesses and errors in the djssertation reporl Apptoved in 34 BOG 23lPage 0 The PhD scholar shall get three months' tme ftom the date of receipt of the Report lrom the Chairperson ot DRC to incorporate necessary modilication in the dissertation in the light ot the Report and shall reaPpear in the Pre - Thesis - Submission seminar before the DRC as fixed by the latter' g) DRC shatl recommend final evaluation of the dissertation report by extemal examiners to DoAA if it finds the revised dissertation report acceptable' h) From the date of receipt of communication from DoAA' the PhD scholar shall submit three 44 size paperback or spiralbound copies (preferably in acid ftee papeo ot the dissertation report along with one digital PDF copy in prqscribed format (Annexure) together with a plagiadsm checking 'eport to the otfice of DoAA within one month and pay the prescribed Examination Feesi) On receipl of the final dissertation report as given under 24 (d or h)' the examination procsss will be initiated by DoAA' j) On the recommendation of DRC, the PhD scholar may be given an additional three month time by the DAC in addition to the one provided under 24 (0 to in@rporale the necessary modification '/ correction failing which his /her PhD registration shall stand cancelled.
k) Chairperson of concemed DRC may invite membe6 of faculty and interested students to the Pre-Thesis-Submission seminar' Reouladon 25: Publication of Research work Before the submission of final Dissertation Report a PhD scholar shall get adeast one research paper by him / her published in peer reviewed SCI / SSCI indexed joumal where dhe is the main author. S/he must also get adeast two papers presented at any conference / seminar / wo*shop etc ln both ttre cases' the paper may be coauthored by any other person(s) Upon the conferment of PhD degtee' a PhD scholar, lvhile publishing his / her PhD research partly or fully' shall duly acknowledge SPAB Requlation 26: Submission of Dissertation ReDort a) The Dissertation Report shatl be a faclual record o{ the PhD scholais research work characterized by discovery of new facts' or frosh interpretation of known facts and theoies. lt should bear evidence of the sc'holais objective judgment and ability to cany out independent investgation Alpmved h 3{ BOG 24lPage b) A PhD scholar shall submit three ]q4 size paperback or spiralbound copies (preferably in acid fiee paper) of ihe disserbtion repo.t along with one digitat copy in prescribed format (Annexure) togeber with a plagiarism checking report within one month from the date of successfully presenting the pre _ Thesis - Submission seminar to the office of DoAA S/he shall ensure that all corections, revisions, modifications have been made to the dissertation report as suggested in the Pre-Thesissubmissjon seminar.
c) The Dissertation Report shall begin with a Declaration (Annexure), followed by a Certifcate (Annexure), Acknowledgement (not exceeding two pages), Abstract (no less than 3OOO and no more than 5OOO words), List of tables with page no., List of figures with page no., List of images/photographs with page no., List of abbreviations, Contents indicating Chapters with sections / sub sections with page no., Glossary, Annexure(s), Refurences and Bibliography.
d) There shail be zero tolerance against plagiarism. Eacfi Dissertation Report shall be filtered through plagiarism checking sofrware and the DRC shall impose the lollowing penalty on a phD scholar in the event of b6ing found guilty of plagiarism considering its severity.
i. Level 1: Similarities above .tO% to 25% - Such phD scholar shall not be given any credit for the plagiarized script and sha be asked to submit a revised Dissertation Report within a stipulated.time period not exceeding three monthsii. Level 2: Similarities above 25% to 500/6 - Such phD scholar shall not get any credit for the plagiarized script and shall be asked to submit a revised Dissertation Report wi6,lin a stipulated time period not exceeding six months.
iii. Level 3: Similaritjes above 50% -Such phD scholar shall not be given any credit for the ptagiarized scrjpt and his/her registration for phD programme shall stand cancelled.

on 27 Aoooi ent of Erdernal tnens and External Evalualion of Dissertafion Report a) The Dissedadon Report shall be sent for extemal evaluation to three extemal examiners, one of whom must be from abroad.
b) DRC $hall recommend the panel of extemal examiners (separately for lndian and foreign) for evatuation of the dissertation report to the Chairperson, Senate through DoAA. DRC shall satisfy itself about the eminence of the extemal examiners before recommending the panel to the Chairperson, Senate.
c) The Chairperson, Senate shall choose external examiners from the panel and communicate the same to DopA for further necessary aclion. The names of extemal examiners nominated by the Chairpe6on, Senate shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be shared with the DRC and Supervisor untjl the receipt of the external examine/s reporf d) The Chairperson, Senah may nominate any other extemal examine(s) other than the ones from the panet submitted to him/her.
e) An external examiner sha not be appointed if s/he has examined any disserhtion of SPAB in the preceding twelve months.
D No one will be appoint-.d as extemal examiner, if s/he has coauthored any paper with the PhD scholar and / or the concemed phD schola/s SupeMsor,/ Co-SupeNisor prior to the submission of finat dissertation report by the phD scholar.
g) Exemal examiners are expected lo send their evaluation report in prescribed format (Annexure) within three months from lhe date of receipt of the dissertation report to DoAA.
h) lf an external examiner does not send hivher evaluation report within three months, DoAA shall send one reminder. lf external examineds comments are not received with,n one monlh from the date of sendinq the reminder. the ,*j,.
""* "'' -";::*,."*^"' "' ^"'ff*' i) lf two of tfte external examiners re@mmend the dissertation for award of PhD degrce, the concerned DRc shall propose the conduoting of viva voce to lhe Chairperson, Senate through the DoAA.
D lf two of the external examiners suggest resubmission of the dissertation report the PhD scholar shall do tho needtul within a time period stipulated by the DRC. The DRC shall ask the concemed SRRC to gnsure that the PhD soholar has complied with all the suggestions made by the external examiners and shall ensure the resubmission of the dissertation report.
k) The DoAA shall send the revised dissertation .eport to the lwo extemal examiners as required under RG 27 (.j) and request them to send their evaluation reporb within two months. Reminders would be sent to the extemal ercaminers if the evaluation reporb are not reoeived in dme_ l) ln the event of second time rejeolion by both the two odernal examiners, the PhD scholar shatl not be awarded the PhD degree and hivher registration shallstand cancelled.
m) All conespondences with external examiners shall be made by DoAA only' Requlation 28: Final Defense of Dissertation ReDort and Award of PhD Deoree a) On receipt of the affirmative @nculTence of external examiners to the Dissertation Report, OoAA shall inform the concerned DRC' b) Concemed DRC shalt seek approval ftom the ChairPerson, SenatB (through DbAA) for a.ranging the viva voce as early as Possible.
c) The concerned PhD scholar shall present four hard bound copies of the dissertation report before the Viva Voc€ board.
d) Viva Voce Board shall be oonstituted as follows:
. Chai.person of concerned DRC - Chairperson . One lndian extemal examiner of the dissertation report to be nominated by the Chairperson, Senale - Member . One extemal member ofthe concerned DRC to be nominated by the chairpe.son, Senate - Member . Supervisor of the PhD scholar- Member . Extemal member of the concerned SRRC / External inated Arywed k 34 BoG 28lPage bythe Chairperson, Senate _ Member e) Co-SupeMsor and / or External cuide shall be special invitees to the viva 0 ln a viva voce, a PhD scholar sha make an oral presentalion on his;/her dissertation. The presentation is open to alt.
g) The PhD scholar is expected to answer the queries of lhe examiners salisfuctorjly. In case of difierence of opinion amongst the members of Vlva voce Board as regards the performance of the phD scholar, majority decision shall prevail. ln case of equality of votes, the Chairperson shall exercise his,lher casting vote.
h) ln the event of complete unanimity towards the unsatisfactory performance, the PhD scholar will be esked to reappear for another viva voce at a later date (not earlier than a month and not later than three months frcm lhe date of first viva voce).
i) lI the Board of Examiners finds the performance of the phD scholar still unsatisfactory on lhe second occasion also, lhen the matter will be refefied to the Senate for a decision.
j) Under such circumstanc€s, the concerned DRC shall recommend to the Senate the revisions to be made in the final version of the dissertation after taking into consideration the suggestions ol the examiners at lhe viva voce.
k) On receipt of Senate's approval, the phD scholar shall work upon the suggestions ofthe examiners at the viva voce and incorporate the same in the dissertation repo.L The Chairperson of concerned DRC shall cediry thal the PhD scholar has complied with the directives and recommen., DoAA to refer the matter to the Chairperson, Senate for approval of Senate. The phD degree shall be awarded to lhe PhD scholar on receipt of Senate,s approval.
Regulation 29: Leave Admissible for a Full Time phD Scholar a) Ordina.v Leave: A tulltime PhD schotar shall be eligibte for thirty days, leave for every completed year (calc.ulated in terms of two @nsec{jtive semesters, from the time of hjs/her joining the phD programme). Saturdays, Sundays or holidays during the leave period shall be counted towards leave, except for prefxed or sufiixed holidays Awroved in 34 BOG 29lPage Of the thirty days' leave, a maximum of fifreen days' of leave is permitted in a semestea However. a PhD scholar c€n accumulate leave, and avail a maximum of 30 days leave at a lime in a year' The maimum nr'lmber of canied-over leave, from one completed year to another' is fifleen days' Chairpe6on of concerned DRC shall sanction the leave on recommendaton of the SupeNisor. The ofice of DoAA shall maintain the Leave Register' A PhD scholar shall sign lhe Leave Register both before proceeding for leave and after availing the lEave.
b) Matemitv/Patemitv Leave: A full-time PhD scholar shall be eligible for four months' maternity leave or fifteen days of paternity leave as the case may be and as applicable only once during the PhD Programme.
Chairperson oI concemed DRc shall sanolion matemity '/ patemity leave on the recommendation of the Supervisor and on the submission of a certificate ftom a registered medical officer. The oflice of DoAA shall maintain the Matemity rl Paternity Leave Register. A PhD scholar shall sign the Matemity / Paternity Leave Register both before proceeding for leave and after availing lhe leave.
c) A@lg$g-tgeyg A full-time PhD scfiolar shall be eligible ior academic leave upto a maximum ot six weeks during a calendar year on the following grounds.
i. Attending conrerencedseminars/\'{orkshops,/trainingsi'/sholt-term cou'ses' ii. Field kips for data collection, survey work, etc.
A part time PhD scholar may also avail academic leave as above only afrer the mmpletion of coursework. Chairpe6on of ooncerned DRC shall sanction the academic leave on recommendatton of the Supervisor' The office of the DoAA shall maintain the Academic Leave Register. A PhD scholar shall sign the Academic Leave Register both before proceediog for leave and after availing the leave. Academic teave to a full time PhD scholar e)Geeding six weeks upto a maximum ot sixty days in a catendar year is subject to the approval of Chairperson, Senate on the recommendation of Chairperson of concerned DRC.
A PhD scholar granted any of the aforesaid leave shall his/her apwved in 34 BoG 30lPage registaation in every semester. lf a regiskalion date fulls during the period o, leave, the PhD scholar shalt register himself/herself after the expiry of his/her leave. Full fe owship / scholarship shall be given to a tul time phD scholar during the leave o, absence as indicated under RG 29 (a to c).
Reoulation 30: Leoal and Other Matbrs a) Nohvithstanding anything stated above, the Senate has the right to modify any of the above Regulations from time to time.
b) All other cases, not covered by the above, shall be refened to the Senate.
c) The maximum time fxed for various matters provided under the Regulations may be relaxed upto a period of ninety days subject to the approval of Chairperson, Senate on the recommendation of DoAA Howover, such relaxation shall not mean any extension to the time allotted for submission of final disserhtion report as given under RG 23 (a and b).
d) Any legal matter relating to Regulations under 1 to 29 shall be subjectod to jurisdictions of Court(s) in Bhopal only Apprcved in 34 Boc 31 IPage
