Section 42: Appeals to Securities Appellate Tribunal

The central recordkeeping agency or any person concerned, aggrieved by an order under these regulations may, prefer an appeal to the Securities Appellate Tribunal against such order in accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 36 of the Act.
Explanation.—For the purposes of this Chapter,—
(a) “designated authority” means an officer of the Authority appointed under sub-regulation (1) of regulation 35;
(b) “designated member” means the Chairperson or a whole-time member of the Authority designated for the purpose;
(c) “noticee” means the person to whom a notice has been issued under this Chapter.
