Section 9: Previous permission of authorised officer required for removal of books, accounts, papers, receipts, vouchers, survey reports or other documents in certain cases

The authorised officer may, where it is not practicable to seize the books, accounts, papers, receipts, vouchers, survey reports or other documents, serve an order on the owner or the person who is in immediate possession or control thereof that he shall not remove, part with or otherwise deal with them except with the previous permission of the authorised officer who may take such steps as may be necessary for ensuring compliance with this rule.
