1. (1) These rules may bo called the Post Office Recurring Deposit (Third Amendment) Rules, 1991.
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of October,
1991.
2. In the Post Offljo Roeurrinft Daposit Rules, 1981 : —
(1) In rule 9, in both the Schedules, for the last item, namely, "Fro.n l-4-iyjl o.i.virdj 811.IQ" the items "From 1-4-1991 to 30-94991—811,10;
"From 1-10-1991 onwards 856-40'" shall be substituted;
(ii) in rule 10, in sub-rulo (2), for the wocd and figure* "Table 1, 2,11, 1,3, 17 or 2r," wlvjravcr they occur the word and figures "Table 1,3,11,13,17,20, or 22 shall bo substituted;
(ili) in rule 11, in sub-rule (2), for tho word and figures "Tabls 3,4,12,14,18 or 21,'' wherever they occur tho word and figures "Tjibb 3,4,12,14,18,21 or 23; shall be, substituted;
(Iv) in Tables 17 and 18, for the words and figures "on or after 1st Apr!, 1991," wherever they occur, the words and figure* "on or after 1st April, 1991 but before 1st October, 1991," shall b : substituted;
(v) after Table 21, the following Tables shall bs inserted, namely :— "Table 22 (See rule 10) Amount, inclusive of interest, payable on an account opened on or after 1st October, 1991 and continued, with monthly deposit beyond the maturity period or maturity period an extended under sub-rule (1) of rule 7.

G.S.R. 580(E).-Tn exercise of the powers conferred by Section 15 of the Government Savings Hanks Act, 1873 (5 of 1873), the Contra! Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Post Office Time Deposit Rules, 1981, namely : -
1.(1) These rules may called the Post Office Time Deposit (Second Amendm.ut) Rules, 1991,
(2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of October,
1991.
2. 1. In the Post Office (Monthly Income Account) Rules, 1987, to rale 1 following proviso shall be added, namely :— "Provided that no such deduction shall be made if the account is closed after expiry of three years from the date of opening of such account".
